Do you know us?
Bustins Jeans is a denim fashion brand with history. To find out, you can ask your parents, uncles or grandparents if they have ever bought women's jeans or men's jeans in Platja d'Aro, on the Costa Brava, and if the answer is affirmative, they will tell you about it themselves. But if they say no, then you will have to continue reading this post…
Rosa and Albert Bustins were two brothers, children and grandchildren of seamstresses from Llagostera (Girona), who decided to start a business in the textile sector in 1968, in the middle of the tourist boom on the Costa Brava, and open a small store in the Neptuno Galleries. 23 of Platja d'Aro. Albert was in love with American culture and its style of life and clothing and began designing, together with his sister, his jeans that carried the name BustinStock for more than 50 years.
In the early 70s, they opened their own clothing workshop and designed many collections linked to the American western (country). In the mid-70s, they opened a large store on the main avenue of Platja d'Aro, STOCK, which until the end of 2020 has been the brand's flagship.
During the 1980s the brand expanded and its own points of sale were opened in coastal towns such as Ibiza, Lloret de Mar, Roses and Benidorm. BustinSTOCK jeans also arrived on the streets of Barcelona and Madrid with two stores, one located on Alcalá Street and the other in Fuencarral. The BustinSTOCK jeans were thus protagonists of the Madrid movement.
Fulfilling the dream of the founders, the brand crossed the pond and in 1990 a store was opened in Los Angeles (7373 Melrose Avenue).
Globalization and the importation of clothing led the brand to close most physical points of sale, except in Roses and Platja d'Aro, where the stores have been open until the end of 2020.
Now, after a brief hiatus, and with the generational change, BustinSTOCK becomes Bustins Jeans and we open a store, for the first time, on the internet and in our original location at Galerías Neptuno ! Do you dare to pay us a visit?
